In plain words: Give first, treat your neighbors well, share honestly, and use Myci in good faith. Exchanges happen directly between neighbors — Myci just helps you find each other.
By using Myci, you agree to these terms. They're meant to be readable, not lawyerly. Myci is a prototype built for the Green Hackathon 2026.
1. Using Myci
Myci is a give-first network that helps neighbors share tools, time, food, and skills. You may use it to make honest offers and requests, message neighbors, and arrange exchanges. You're responsible for what you post and do through your account.
2. Be a good neighbor
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger other neighbors.
- Post anything illegal, unsafe, fraudulent, or misleading.
- Use Myci to advertise, spam, or run a business as if it were mutual aid.
- Offer items or services that are unsafe, stolen, or prohibited by law.
- Misuse the platform, attempt to break its security, or collect others' data.
3. No money changes hands
Myci is built for sharing, lending, swapping, and giving — not for selling. There's no payment system, and Myci takes no cut of anything. Exchanges are gifts and favors between neighbors, made in good faith.
4. Exchanges are between neighbors
Myci helps you connect, but the actual exchange happens directly between you and another neighbor. We don't inspect, guarantee, or take responsibility for the items, services, or interactions arranged through the app. Use your judgement, meet safely, and treat borrowed things with care.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give Myci permission to display your content within the service so other neighbors can see and respond to it. You're responsible for having the right to share whatever you offer.
6. Your account
Keep your account details secure and don't impersonate anyone. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put other neighbors at risk.
7. The service is provided "as is"
Myci is an early prototype offered without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from exchanges between neighbors or from your use of the service. Nothing here removes rights you have under applicable law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as Myci grows. We'll change the date above and, for meaningful changes, surface a notice in the app. Continuing to use Myci means you accept the updated terms.
